COMMITMENT TO A DECEITFUL LIAR

Have you ever felt embarrassed about a particular event or life experience, fearful of others discovering it? In her powerful and courageous new series, Jenelle Simpson holds nothing back in the first installment of her book. This deeply authentic read offers insight into her upbringing in a West Indian household, rich with its unique beliefs and myths, while navigating through her trauma, insecurities, experiences of sexual abuse, the complexities of living with a stepfather, domestic violence, and the various challenges faced within the Black community.

Jenelle lays bare her life story in a compelling narrative that promotes growth, healing, and the importance of embracing our experiences without shame. She incorporates elements of Jamaican patois to vividly convey the essence of Jamaican culture and its impact on her journey.

This book emerges from a profound healing process addressing trauma, abuse, and the toxic cycles and attachments often passed down through generations. Jenelle's story exemplifies how one person's struggles can serve a higher purpose, transforming shame into a source of strength. It is a call to others to heal and to recognize that they are not alone in their experiences.

Take the courageous step to shed that sense of shame and immerse yourself in this unfiltered tale.

Female Presenter

Its like the writer and I lived the same life. Everything she wrote about was 100% my life. Growing up as a Caribbean child the rules we are given makes up terrified to talk up when its time to do it.
This writer wrote a book not a story
She did not hold back with the details or how she felt about certain charactors im her book.
I really hope there is a continuation because
I need to know what happened with mom and tony.
